Day 3 Bludenz
We had a great tea last night after sleeping for an hour. The restaurant around the corner served us pork schnitzel and a cheese fondue to share. Then we went back to the hotel and slept until 7 in the morning.
Birgit and her friend Thomas picked us up at 10 and took us back to Bludenz. Switzerland looked great.
We crossed into Germany and went to the Rheinfall or Rhine River falls. They were quite spectacular.
Then we drove on to Lake Constance, a long beautiful lake with vineyards all along it. There was a Zeppelin taking tourists for rides. We went to a Monastery near the lake the inside of which was spectacular. So many intricate carvings and paintings on the walls and ceiling. Quite ornate compared to outside.
We then went into Austria to the Pfahlbauten . This was a village which has been built to resemble those found 6000 years ago. Many pieces of wood and many artefacts were found in the lake too.
We had a late lunch here and then left the hills to go to the mountains in Austria. We had cake and coffee at Birgit's place and then i showed her my photos. Her son, Dominik came to look as well. It was great.
We finally checked into our hotel at about 7.30. Very weary now but a great hotel in the town centre.
Three countries in one morning.

Looks beautiful! Doesn’t look too cold either.
